InetRadio ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using InetRadio, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect:

• Email address
• Name
• Station name
• Password (stored as a salted bcrypt hash — never in plain text)
• DJ profile photo, channel art, on-air tagline (if you provide them)

Payment Information

When you subscribe, your payment details (credit card number, expiration, CVV) are collected and stored directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number on our servers. We do receive:

• The last 4 digits of your card
• Card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
• Billing country and postal code
• Stripe customer ID and subscription ID

Broadcast & Usage Data

• Audio files you upload (music library, commercials)
• Show recordings (when you choose to record)
• Stream statistics (current listener count, peak listeners)
• Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
• Songs played by your station

Listener & Guest Data

When listeners or guests interact with your station:

• Listener IP addresses are logged by Icecast for stream delivery
• Song requests submitted to your station include a hashed IP for rate-limiting
• Guest call-in connections create temporary WebRTC sessions; we do not record guest audio unless the broadcaster enables show recording

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Authenticate you when you log in
• Send transactional emails (welcome, payment receipts, payment failures, account changes)
• Diagnose technical issues
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. When We Share Information

We share your information only in these circumstances:

Service Providers

• Stripe — for payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy)
• DreamHost — for transactional email delivery (info@inetradio.net)
• Contabo — our hosting infrastructure provider

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, safety, or that of our users or the public.

Public Content

Audio you broadcast through your station, your station name, and your DJ profile photo are publicly accessible by anyone who tunes into your stream or visits your station page.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use a small number of cookies for essential functionality:

• Session cookies — to keep you logged in while using the studio dashboard
• CSRF tokens — to protect against cross-site request forgery

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or social media pixels at this time.

6. Payment Information

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. Your credit card details are sent directly from your browser to Stripe's secure servers using TLS encryption — they never touch our servers in raw form.

We store only:

• Stripe customer ID
• Stripe subscription ID
• Subscription status (trialing, active, past_due, canceled)
• Invoice records (amount, date, payment status)

7. Content Storage

Audio files you upload are stored on our infrastructure (Contabo VPS in Europe). Files are isolated per user — other DJs cannot access your library.

Show recordings are stored privately and only you can download them via your dashboard.

8. Data Security

We protect your data using industry-standard practices:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all web traffic and API calls
• Bcrypt password hashing
• Database access restricted to localhost
• Per-user storage isolation
• Stripe handles payment data — PCI DSS Level 1 compliant
• Regular security updates to our server software

No system is 100% secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@inetradio.net.

9. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data retained for as long as your account is active
• Canceled accounts: Audio files and recordings retained for 30 days after cancellation, then deleted
• Account records: Email and billing history retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
• Server logs: Retained for 90 days, then automatically rotated
• Song requests: Retained indefinitely with hashed IPs (no personal info)

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to certain uses of your data
• Withdraw consent — at any time where we rely on consent

11. Children's Privacy

InetRadio is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International Users

Our servers are located in Europe (Contabo). By using the Service, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the country where our servers are located.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. We honor those rights in accordance with applicable law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. For material changes, we will notify users via email or a prominent notice on the Service.
